Paver Sealing in Matlacha and Pine Island
Matlacha and Pine Island are the most exposed part of our service area and it shows in the joints. Salt-laden air reaches everything here, not just the waterfront row, and the practical result is that sealing intervals run at the short end — closer to two years than three, and sometimes shorter on a west- facing driveway that takes both the sun and the wind off the water.
This is also the area where the storm history is most visible. Hurricane Ian made landfall in Lee County in September 2022 as a category 4 with storm surge reported up to fifteen feet; the Matlacha bridge was washed out and recovery here has run for years rather than months. Where hardscape has been replaced since, the pavers are new — and new pavers benefit from an early seal once the efflorescence has finished working its way out, usually a year or so after installation rather than immediately.
The access is genuinely different too. Pine Island Road is the only way on and off, and crews plan around that. It affects scheduling more than it affects price, but it is worth knowing why a Matlacha job might be offered on a specific day rather than whenever suits.
