Fort Myers is the other half of the Southwest Florida paver market and it behaves differently from Cape Coral. Less of it is canal-front, more of it is gated community with HOA rules about what a driveway may look like, and a meaningful share of the newer stock came in with pavers already installed by the builder.
Builder-installed pavers are worth a specific note. They are usually laid correctly but sealed either never or once, at handover, and the joint sand is standard rather than polymeric. Around year three the joints start emptying and the owner assumes the pavers are failing. They are not — they need re-sanding, which is far cheaper than what people fear when they first call.
HOA communities sometimes specify sealer finish. If yours does, say so when you call: matte versus wet-look is a product decision made before the crew arrives, not something to sort out on the day.
