Paver Sealing on the Burnt Store Corridor

Call (239) 439-6827

The Burnt Store corridor is the newest part of Cape Coral and that changes what the work looks like. Most driveways here are original, builder-laid, and somewhere between two and eight years old. Very few have ever been sealed.

New pavers have a specific first problem, and it is not dirt. Efflorescence — a white mineral bloom that migrates out of the paver as it cures — is normal in the first year or two and needs a proper cleaner rather than pressure. Sealing over it traps it under the film, which is how you end up with a driveway that looks permanently hazy. The right order is: let it finish, clean it properly, then seal.

Because the corridor is still being built out, construction traffic and run-off from adjacent lots are a real factor. Sealing a driveway on a street where the next three houses are still going up is defensible — it protects against staining — but it is worth doing with eyes open about the second clean you will want when the street is finished.
